Alternative Fuel Automobiles

Electric Cars

Hybrid Cars

Natural Gas-Powered Cars

Hydrogen-Powered Cars

Toxic fumes are emitted from over 250 million vehicles worldwide. Currently, our main energy source is fossil fuels, which include oil, coal, and natural gas. We use these fossil fuels to heat and provide power to many homes and buildings, as well as to fuel our vehicles. It is hard to see the damaging consequences of the use of fossil fuel right now, but will become very clear very soon if we do not cut down our usage of fossil fuels. Fossil fuels, which have been forming underground for millions of years, have been used almost the the point where they are no longer a cost-effective energy source. What took millions of years to form only took about one hundred years to use up. Unless we implement alternative fuels very soon, we could "run out" of fossil fuels in 40-50 years. Just as our fossil fuels are almost entirely depleted, several safer and extremely efficient alternatives are on the horizon.

Within these pages you will find descriptions of four such alternatives. Explore, and let your mind experience the future of the automotive industry. And if our presentation isn't enough to satisfy you, we've provided several links on each page that should more than do the trick. Good luck, and happy surfing.
